Studio Use Fees

Casual Studio Usage is calculated with a rate of $5 for every 20 minutes of use. This is calculated through a Credit System which is also used for Glaze, Clay and Firing Costs. All Students who use the studio in this way will need to have at least $50 credit under their tab before using the studio or having any pieces fired in the kiln. This is a bond to cover against equipment misuse which results in damage aswell as damage to kilnshelfs from improper glaze application. To read more on the specifics of Kiln Usage, Click Here.

Your current credit can be viewed through the following link.

There is also the option to get a Weekly, Monthly or Yearly membership. To see these options click here.

What To Know Prior To Using The Studio.

The Studio has a maximum of 6 wheels so first in best dressed. Message me Prior if you want to confirm the studio has a free space for you. This is for Intermediate/advanced potters only. This program is for potters who have basic pottery experience and wish to further their skills or just wish to have a playful time on the wheel.
The class is primarily self taught with the option to ask for assistance at any point. This allows you to either jump on the wheel/hand build, glaze or decorate your work and gives you the studio space to do these practices at an affordable price, while also allowing you the option to develop skills with the added benefit of someone there for mentorship and guidance. This is perfect for those who either wish to have abit of unassisted fun, or for those looking to tackle a project (eg: dinner sets.) Students will be required to be at intermediate level. This is not a beginners workshop, If skills are not up to the basics, you will be asked to join a long (6/7 week course) before coming again. These three Basic skills are to be known, prior to joining the class. listed below:
- Know how to throw basic shapes ~ Flatware, Bowls and Cylinders.
- Known how to trim your work.
- Know how to glaze your work.
Please note, the following is provided in this class, Tools, equipment use including pug mill use, workspace, mentorship and assistance.

NoteThis is not A Intermediate or Advanced Class. While I'm there to give guidance and assistance, this is more of a studio hire and students are expected to work within their skill level, I can assist and help with questions and give guidance, but lectures on intermediate and advanced skills Like Glaze Development Or Advanced throwing Techniques will have to be learnt in my Intermediate and Advanced Pottery Workshops.
