Service Description

NOTE: The 1.5hr Beginner Pottery Workshop is an in depth beginner pottery workshop. In the class you will learn the 3 basic shapes on the wheel. Flatware, bowls and Cylinders (Mugs). The class is a more serious approach to jumping on the wheel with a step by step guide through all the shapes so no one gets left behind, things are taken slowly to make the experience as relaxing and fun as possible. All 3 of your pots will be finished after the class by Jacob and will take approximately 10 weeks. Where?: 5 Friesan st, cowaramup How much?: $99,99 per person or $29.99 for regular students (NO CLAY/POTS PROVIDED) (NOTE: Information For Recurring casual students at the bottom of the page. please read thoroughly before booking this option.) How long?: Average class runtime varies from 1hr 15mins to 1hr 45mins depending on number of participants. for this reason it's specially important for larger groups of participants to arrive on time. What do you get: 1.5hr learning experience where you can learn the basics on the pottery wheel. You will learn the 3 basic forms. : Flatware (plate) : Bowls : Cylinders (mugs) You will only be doing wheel work during this workshop, the wedging clay, trimming, attaching handles, bisque firing, waxing and glazing will all be done by Jacob after the workshop is completed. This process takes roughly 10 weeks to complete, Postage is available on the day from the purchasers expense. Minimum of 2 people need to book, for class to go ahead. If I cannot get at least two people for that specific class, I will offer you a refund or reschedule option. CASUAL RECURRING STUDENTS* - You will be required to BYO clay or purchase from Jacob on the day. - You can come 30 mins earlier to prepare clay for the class. - The class will be running as usual, Focusing on the 3 main pottery shapes and going through the basics in detail. However Jacob will be able to assist you with other projects in-between helping students. - Jacob offers to finish your pots for you, for a fee of $25 per pot. If you want to finish your own work you will be required to manage your own pots drying, as well as the finishing off process (trimming and glazing) - For those who have experience with glazing independently you may glaze your pots throughout the class (given the glazing area is available and you have experience with glazing. Cancellation Policy

Jacobs classes tend to book out regularly, There is limited availability especially for those with large groups and people tend to book weeks/months in advance. There is also only 6 spots in Jacobs classes, and taking up a spot can result in the potential loss of another booking. For this reason: CANCELLATION REQUESTS: Cancellations are non refundable. You can pass your booking onto friends if you cannot make it. RESCHEDULE REQUESTS: Reschedule requests due to the potential loss of a larger group booking are also non refundable. If you cannot make it you can have the value of your booking in the form of store credit to use in shop. This is limited to Pottery for sale in the gallery and cannot be used for lessons either to finish off lesson pots or reschedule bookings.
